PrIMe data: Reaction rates

Description

PrIMe Reaction Rate data records contain information necessary to calculate the reaction rate, including the rate law type, the expression for the rate coefficient, values for the parameters including information on uncertainties, information on pressure dependence, third body reactants, and the range of values of physical properties (pressure, temperature) for which the given rate information is valid.

PrIMe currently recognizes reaction rates according to law of mass action, reactions invloving third body, unimolecular, and chemically activated reactions.

The information on the rate of the reaction can be obtained in a number of ways, using one of a number of theoretical approaches and assumptions and considering overall change or a particular reaction channel. Manu reaction rate records can thus exist for a given reaction. PrIMe deposotory allows for an unlimited number of reaction rate records can be stored in each reaction's data foder.

Reaction rate records are designated by primeID identifier "rk", followed by a unique 8-digit sequence; for example: rk00001234. rk00000000 primeID is reserved for the record which PrIMe Work Group overseeing that reaction has designated as the Best Current Value.

For every numerical value (except for the limits of the validity range) uncertainty can be specified.
