primeID

Bibliography records are designated by primeID identifier "b", followed by a unique 8-digit sequence; for example: b00001234. Record with primeID b00000000 is a special "dummy" record reserved for the case when biibliography entry is mandatory but actual reference is unknown ("Unknown reference").

Preffered Key

Each bibliography record may contain the "preferredKey", the entry that is a short, custom reference to the bibliography record. The prefered key does not uniquely identify the bibliography, but rather serves as a reminder of what is the bibliographic record when a data record reffers to it. Tyical preferred keys for bibliography are of the form of short bibliographic references, as "Frenklach et al., J. Phys. Chem., 79, 1148, 1975.", or "Djurisic, Z. M., Doctoral dissertation, 2004."

Links to full text: URL, PURL, DOI
